Angel Olsen

Angel Olsen is an American musician and singer born in St. Louis, Missouri who is a resident of Asheville North Carolina. To date Olsen has made six studio albums available: Half Way Home Burn Your Fire for No Witness My Woman All Mirrors, Whole New Mess and Big Time. My mother is a woman with the ability to be a loving mother to children. The singer-songwriter moved from Missouri to Chicago in 2006 to work alongside California music producer Emmett Kelly to form the group known as called the Cairo Gang. The previous album All Mirrors from 2019 featured dark almost gothic synth-rock and deeply affecting excursions into classical pop. On Big Time the first album where Olsen is vocally expressing the subject of her sexuality, she shifts to a notably tradition-bound genre: country. This seems to make a lot of sense.
